Grants for Woodland Owners 1969
The original booklet is courtesy of Dave Stewart, Dufftown, from a collection of papers belonging to his father George Stewart a forester for many years with the Forestry Commission.
This attractive little booklet sets out the various forestry schemes which attracted grant aid in 1969. There is information on The Dedication and Approved Woodland Schemes, shelterbelts, poplar planting and felling licences. It is notable that the planting grant was £23 3s 6p per acre.
There are a number of Forestry Commission addresses as well as those of the Forestry Societies, Woodland Owners and Commonwealth Associations.
