Kilmun Arboretum walk leaflet

The document is courtesy of the staff at Glenbranter Forest Office and in particular Ian Adams who retained these files for many years.

This is most likely a photocopy of a little local leaflet possibly produced about the 1980s. It gives visitors a brief over view of the arboretum and some of its seasonal highlight species. See PDF for complete leaflet.

Round about the same time there were other leaflets produced featuring different parts of Kilmun Forest District, and the walks and activities available in each. After they had been proof-read, assembled, checked numerous times, edited and sent off to the printers, the big day arrived when they were delivered, Every one of them had a rather glaring mistake which had escaped everybody's notice. In the sections where the local wildlife was featured, instead of the humble vole, the visitor could expect to see the occasional wolf. Somebody in the office had the mind-numbing job of typing the word "vole" thousands of times, cutting out each one, and sticking it on to the brochure.
