Jim Hewitson on board his Volvo BM clambunk skidder on an early frosty morning start driving his machine out of the bogging area with the help of two tractor skidders out of view.

One of the large front driving wheels is clearly seen here with the front over hung engine compartment that was a distinctive feature of the frame steering machine. The twin axle smaller driven wheels at the back are in this case covered with band tracks.
