Leslie Phillip felling larch thinnings

Photograph courtesy of Leslie Phillip, Perth who was working on Lour Estate, Forfar at the time. He recalls that the Estate had received a large order for rustic larch about time. Leslie id using a Jonsered chain saw possibly one of the 600 models – 621? Did these saws have anti – vibration rubbers in the handle fixings?

Note the pulp hook in the side holster which was very handy for pulling the felled poles to the ride side or road.

If I remember correctly this chainsaw was a Jonesereds 751 with no anti vibration on the handles. Also the noise it made when under load was ear splitting I think it was an early 1960s model.
