Birkhall Forest woodland records

File courtesy of Aberdeenshire and Moray Forest District, Huntly.

The Forestry Commission Forest of Alltcailleach was formed from some of the woods of Birkhall Estate and the information on the various woodland plantings have been copied from the records provided by Balmoral Estates to Mr Marnoch of Alltcailleach Forest in 1958.

The various woodland areas are named along with the numbers of plants used, their origins and some treatment costs from 1927 onwards.
