Munro Lorry? at Ardnarff with Steyr Winch

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

Lorry is loaded with random length logs possibly cut off at around 16cms diameter from the full length trees which have just been extracted by the Steyr winch. It looks like the winch cables are seen looping into the distance over the top of the load to a large spar tree standing in the distance. The drag marks of the loads can be seen under the lorry.
