A series of photographs taken at Parkgate Engineering Works owned by the Murray family who manufactured almost all the forestry ploughs from the 1950s through to the 1980s. This photograph taken by Donald Thomson in 1976 shows a standard Parkgate plough with special strengthened beam in the course of construction. This beam is likely being made to fit to a double deep tine head D60/T90/t and has had a heavy metal plate welded on a significant part of the bottom of the beam and a vertical ridge at the rear where the plough head fixes on. Note also the double ram mountings to assist with the heavy weight head.
