Forestry Commission Village – Dalavich

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

No information given on this image but was identified by Sheila (George’s daughter) as possibly Dalavich and further checks indicate that this is almost certain the case.

Can anyone explain which houses are in the photograph and who lived in them?

Large wood building was the Primary School, small wood building next to the phone box was the shop which I remember getting demolished in the late 70s or early 80s
