Brian Fletcher recalls ‘Ogilvies Haulage were based in Muir of Ord but started by Wm Ogilvie from Crieff who came up to Ardross during the war to cut wood. He lived in a croft at Inchlumpie. They had about 20 lorries at their peak and in their day they were the main contractor running timber to the pulp mill at Fort William. The business was run by his William’s son David who died in his late thirties with cancer’.
